   They were cast by Mears of Whitechapel, London, and the inscription on them is:- “Thos. Mears, late Lester, Pack and Chapman of London, fecit, I79I.”

   The small bell (ting-tang) is older, and bears the inscription:- “Antony Basely. Richard Large. C.W. 1649.”
